Q: I cannot find any prices on this website!

A: Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience. Most of our products have a large range of accessories and options, many of which require some explanation. If you are familiar with our products and would like a pricelist sent as a hard copy or vial email, please email us or phone us, stating the product(s) you are interested in, and we will send you our current pricelist.  See our Contact Us page for more details.

Q: How and when do I need to pay?

A: A small deposit may be requested initially, particularly for customized products or accessories. We will not debit your card for the full amount until the goods are ready for despatch. You can pay via credit card over the phone, by cheque or bankers draft. Children's tricycle order require a 25% deposit. Draisin all ability cycles require a 50% deposit.

Q: Can I get a further discount on retail prices?

A: In some cases Quest 88 does offer further discounts for private customers. Please also remember you may be eligible for VAT relief! Charities involved with the provision of cycles and tricycles will receive a 10% discount.

Q: Can I get help with funding this equipment?

A: There are several ways in which you may be able to obtain financial help. There are charities of all shapes and sizes that may be able to assist, although we cannot guarantee that they will approve every application. These charities are numerous and range from your local supermarket through to very specific charities for the disabled such as the Caudwell Trust ( http://www.caudwellcharitabletrust.com/ ) and the Variety Club of Great Britain (http://www.varietyclub.org.uk/ ).

Please contact Quest 88 for more information about charities.

Q: Do I need to pay V.A.T?

A: Not necessarily. If a piece of equipment is purchased for home use, the parent or guardian may declare as such and claim exemption from paying VAT on a VAT Exemption Certificate (PDF).

Charities may be exempted by providing details of their charity number alternatively if money has been raised through voluntary activity other than through a charity, exemption may be obtained by the signing of a VAT Exemption Certificate (PDF) by the groups organiser or treasurer.

Q: Can I part exchange my existing product?

A: If the equipment you are using was provided by the NHS or a charitable organisation, it may be that they still own it. There are new guidelines within the NHS for the recycling and redistribution of this type of product, enabling others to benefit from outgrown or unused equipment. It may be that you need to contact the institution that provided you; to find out how your equipment could be passed on.

If however, you financed the equipment yourself, it would depend upon whether Quest 88 had current requests for second hand equipment, as Quest 88 does not have the resources to store such equipment indefinitely.

Equipment is often re-sold through related charity sites or even via e-bay, but be careful as many pieces of equipment were originally prescribed for a particular individual and therefore may not be suitable for a new user without first being assessed. Please contact Quest 88 Limited for advice before proceeding.
