There is a broad range of handlebar sizes and styles to choose from including the double, or “twin” grip style, which allows the child to move their hands between the inner and outer grips to assist in the steering of the tricycle. Another style available is the “forearm gutter” style which offers support for the arms and features vertical hand grips.

Neoprene wrap around mittens may also be useful when a child does not have sufficient grip to hold onto the handlebars.
