The DELTA Stander is a vertical standing frame designed to lift users from seating to standing for use in the home or for where space is a premium. A daily standing program can help improve circulation, increase bone mineral density (thus making bones stronger) and help in the full evacuation of the urinary tract. The DELTA Standing Frame is a free standing vertical stander, designed to enable the user to be raised safely from sitting to standing and then positively supported during their standing program.
The electric lifting mechanism features a motorized belt adjustment system which is capable of lifting up to 140kg (22 stone*). The mechanism will allow those with moderate trunk control to rise themselves from sitting to standing and those with limited trunk control to be guided into standing with attendant assistance. Supports The addition of basic accessories can be used to control complex conditions, stabilizing the pelvis and spine to give a good ‘mid-line’ position. The hip bar and pads are the foundation for upper body control. They are used to stabilize and stop rotation in the pelvis. The thoracic support and laterals are added to the hip bar and pads for greater control of the trunk. If a user has a tendency to lean back or gains better independent head control from having support behind them, the thoracic support can be attached to the hip bar. If the user has a tendency to lean to one side, the lateral supports will help them maintain a central position. There are two styles of thoracic support, cranked and straight. The cranked version is for users who only require a prompt to maintain good trunk posture. The straight version suits those who have a more forward leaning posture. The head support is added to the thoracic support to help maintain a good head posture. Why choose the DELTA Standing Frame The DELTA is ideal for home use. It is more compact than Quest 88’s Classic Standing Frame but shares the same range of adjustment and easy-to-use features. It is distinguishable from the Classic by its tapered tray and base. The DELTA comes in two sizes. The adult version is suitable for users from 140cm(4’7”) to 200cm(6’6”). The children’s version is suitable for children from 120cm (4’) to 170cm(5’7”). The hip bar and pads are the foundation for upper body control. They are used to stabilize and stop rotation in the pelvis. The DELTA features adjustable foot, knee and hip control, along with a height adjustable tray and hip rails. The DELTA is available with a sliding tray and sliding footboard, making it easier to fine tune the standing frame to different user’s requirements. The footboard can be adjusted to compensate for different sizes and types of wheelchair. |
